NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- Jake Arians kicked a 37-yard field goal in overtime as UAB rallied for a 23-20 victory over Tulane in a Conference USA battle.

UAB (5-6, 4-2 C-USA) got the ball after Tulane's Seth Marler's 32-yard field goal attempt was blocked by Chris Brown. They gained four yards on three rushes before Arians' game-winning boot.

The Blazers were trailing 20-10 midway through the fourth quarter when Tulane quarterback Patrick Ramsey fell in his own end zone while attempting a pass for a safety.

UAB went 55 yards on three plays on their ensuing drive, capped off by Daniel Dixon's second touchdown run of the game, a five-yard scamper that brought the Blazers within two. Percy Coleman ran in the two-point conversion attempt to tie the game.

The Blazers jumped out to a 10-0 lead on Arians' 18-yard field goal in the first quarter and Dixon's 1-yard plunge with 2 1/2 minutes remaining in the second before Marler connected on a 35-yard field goal at the gun to cut the lead to seven.

Tulane (3-8, 1-5) scored the lone TD in the third quarter when Ramsey hit JaJuan Dawson with a 4-yard pass to tie the game. The two connected on a 61-yard pass 22 seconds into the fourth for a 17-10 lead before Marler's 51-yard boot increased the lead to 10 points.

Ramsey completed 27-of-45 passes for 325 yards and Dawson had eight catches for 112 yards as UAB had the ball for over 52 minutes.

Dixon threw for 243 yards on 18-of-27 completions and Darrius Malone caught four passes for 121 yards as the Green Wave finished the season with five straight losses despite outgaining the Blazers 420-335.
