JACKSON, Miss. (AP) _ Mark Washington threw for 363 yards and six touchdowns, including three TDs to Sylvester Morris in a 58-6 win over instate rival Alcorn State on Saturday.

Jackson State (9-2, 4-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference), which has won five straight games against Alcorn, finished with 646 yards of total offense. Morris had 200 yards receiving for the Tigers.

Alcorn State (3-7, 1-3) ends the year with a five-game losing streak and a losing record for the fifth straight season.

Washington had touchdowns passes of 24 and 13 yards to Morris in the first quarter to put Jackson State ahead 12-0. Washington started the second quarter with a 61-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Guy to extend the Tigers lead to 18-0 with 11:09 remaining in the half.

Alcorn State could not stop the Tigers. Jackson State didn't punt the ball in the game.

Morris had seven catches to set a new school reception record with 175 receptions. He surpassed the old record of 171 catches set by Willie Richardson in 1962.

Destry Wright had 37 rushing attempts for 189 yards and scored two touchdowns for Jackson State.

The Tigers led 24-0 at the half.

Washington added a 95-yard touchdown pass to Morris in the third quarter for a 38-0 lead at 5:16 mark. Alcorn's only score came on a 27-yard touchdown pass from Marcus Taylor to Chris McGhee with 9:27 remaining in the game.

Jackson State, which has won the SWAC Eastern Division and will play in the inaugural SWAC football championship game on Dec. 11 in Birmingham, Alabama, limited Alcorn to 283 yards of total offense.
