SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Tom Jackson threw for 321 yards and three touchdowns to lead San Diego to a 31-12 victory over Wagner Saturday.

Jackson completed 17 of 24 passes, including a key 32-yard touchdown pass to Matt Guardia in the third quarter right after Wagner cut the Toreros' lead to three points.

The pass, Guardia's second touchdown catch of the game, came with nine minutes left in the third and gave San Diego a 24-12 lead.

San Diego (5-4) gained 456 yards in total offense, including 135 yards on the ground. Oscar Arzu rushed for 96 yards on 17 carries, raising his season total to 1,041 yards.

Jackson also threw touchdown passes of 34 yards to Khalid Maxie and a 41-yarder to Guardia, who had just two catches for 10 yards coming into the game.

David Lembo added a 13-yard touchdown run and Rafael Ocampo kicked a 45-yard field goal for San Diego.

Wagner (5-5), which trailed 17-6 at halftime, gained only 65 yards in total offense in the first half. But the Seahawks came back on Rick Sarille's 1-yard touchdown run on their first possession of the second half to cut the lead to 16-13.

Wagner wasted its second-half scoring chances when it had a field goal blocked and was stopped on two plays from the San Diego 1-yard line.

Sarille, who scored the Seahawks' other touchdown on a 1-yard run, rushed for 136 yards on 32 carries, caught three passes for 38 yards and returned four kickoffs for 98 yards.
