  RECAP | BOX SCORE

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State opened up the offense Saturday night and B.J. Tiger responded, throwing two touchdown passes and running for a score in a 41-21 victory over Texas Tech.

The Cowboys (3-2, 1-1 Big 12) had been very conservative in their two previous games, road losses to Mississippi State and Nebraska. But they ran a reverse on the first play and mixed things up nicely all night to end a four-game losing streak to Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders (2-3, 1-1) struggled one week after their 21-19 upset of then-No. 5 Texas A&M. Sammy Morris, who ran for a career-best 170 yards last week, was held to 40 on 16 carries. Rob Peters was just 7-of-18 for 138 yards, 50 of those on one pass after the game was decided.

The Cowboys had 452 total yards, three more than their combined total in the past two games.

Tiger was 15-of-25 for 203 yards and he ran for 61 more. He was perfect on all three of his passes on the first drive, which Terance Richardson finished with a 25-yard run on another reverse.

A 34-yard punt return by Richardson set the Cowboys up at Tech's 30 on their second possession. They converted on fourth-and-1 from the 21 to keep the drive alive, and Tiger later sneaked in from the 1 to make it 14-0.

Richardson, one of the few who played well against Nebraska, had 90 yards in punt returns to repeatedly shorten the field for the Cowboys. A 40-yarder in the second quarter set up a 4-yard touchdown pass that fullback Kevin Brown caught after the ball was tipped by two Tech defenders.

The Red Raiders made it 21-7 when Peters hit tight end Kyle Allamon on a 29-yard touchdown late in the second quarter. But Oklahoma State scored 46 seconds later on a 51-yard pass from Tiger to Jamaal Fobbs. Tiger faked two handoffs before dropping back and finding Fobbs open behind two defenders.

Alvin Porter's 32-yard interception return set up an Oklahoma State touchdown that made it 41-7 less than five minutes into the third quarter.

The Red Raiders' frustrations were underscored later in the quarter, when they reached the 1 before Peters fumbled the ball away. They did come back to score twice in the final five minutes of the game.
