LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) _ David Neill threw for 277 yards and two touchdowns as the Nevada Wolfpack beat New Mexico State 23-16 Saturday night. Neill also had a 19-yard run to the Aggies' 1-yard line with 57 seconds left in the game to set up Chris Lemon's game-winning touchdown. The key play came with 2:37 left as Nevada defensive tackle Jim Farley stripped the ball from Aggies quarterback K.C. Enzminger and recovered it on New Mexic State's 33-yard line. The win improved the Wolfpack to 2-4, 1-0 in the Big West Conference, while the Aggies dropped to 3-3, 0-2. The Wolfpack got on the board first with a 21-yard touchdown pass from Neil to Eric Johnson with 4:01 left in the first quarter. Nevada added to the lead in the second quarter on Mike Phillips' 32-yard field goal to make it 10-0. The Wolfpack took its second posession of the third quarter and drove the ball 80 yards on seven plays, capped by a 4-yard touchdown pass from Neill to Trevor Insley. The Aggies rallied from a 16-0 second-half deficit to tie the game with 4:30 remaining in the fourth quarter on Nick Cecava's 33-yard field goal. New Mexico State didn't score until 4:33 of the third quarter on Enzminger's 5-yard run. The Aggies scored again with four seconds left in the third on Enzminger's 2-yard run. With the score 16-13, Cecava tied it in the fourth. Enzminger threw for 237 yards in the loss, hitting Ryan Shaw for seven passes and 170 yards. The Aggies outgained the Wolfpack 484-471, but lost three of four fumbles. Nevada didn't fumble at all.
