PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Kris Ryan rushed for 256 yards and four touchdowns as Pennsylvania ended a two-game losing skid with a 35-18 victory over winless Fordham Saturday.

Ryan scored on touchdown runs from 52, one, 43, and two yards out, and was 16 yards shy of a school record when Penn coach Al Bagnoli rested him midway through the fourth quarter. His 43-yard score with 11:31 to go in the third quarter gave Penn (2-2) a 28-3 lead.

After totaling 65 yards in the first half, Fordham's (0-5) offense began to click in the third quarter behind the receiving of Gerry McDermott. He caught touchdown passes of 25 yards from Mark Carney and from three yards out from Matt Georgia. He then hauled in a two-point conversion throw from Georgia to cut the lead to 28-18 with 38 second left in the third.

Ryan added his 1-yard TD plunge early in the fourth quarter.

Kendall Creer led all receivers with 104 yards, including a 77-yard bomb from Carney that set up McDermott's second touchdown.
