BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ Running back Davey Malaythong scored two touchdowns and Boise State outrushed Eastern Washington 264-44 as the Broncos beat the Eagles 41-7 in a non-conference game Saturday.

Quarterback Bart Hendricks threw for three touchdowns and 154 yards as Boise State improved to 4-2 with its third straight win while Eastern Washington fell to 3-3.

Bronco defensive ends Zach Weber and Mike Maloy set the tone on the game's first play from scrimmage when they combined for a fumble recovery by Eagle quarterback Chris Samms. Weber hit Samms in the Eagle backfield and Maloy recovered on the Eastern Washington 11, setting up a 7-yard touchdown run by Malaythong two plays later.

The Broncos widened their lead to 13-0 on a 7-yard touchdown pass from Hendricks to fullback Shay Swan, and the lopsided contest ensued.

Hendricks hit tight end Dave Stachelski with a 20-yard touchdown pass and a 20-0 Boise State lead with 1:39 remaining in the first quarter.

Boise State took a 34-0 halftime lead with two more scores in the second quarter_a 2-yard touchdown run by Malaythong and a 5-yard scoring pass from Hendricks to wide receiver Jeb Putzier. Boise State's defense held Eastern Washington to 1-yard rushing in the first half.

In the third quarter, the Bronco defense struck for a score when linebacker Kareem Williams returned a Samms fumble 34 yards for a touchdown, hiking Boise State's lead to 41-0.

The Eagles of the Big Sky Conference averted a shutout with the lone score of the final period when reserve quarterback Eli Marsh hit wide receiver Rich Naccarato with a 7-yard touchdown pass with 14:18 remaining.

Bronco running backs Aristotle Thompson and Brock Forsey rushed for 94 and 91 yards, respectively.
