BOX SCORE
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Leon Murray passed for 346 yards and a touchdown Saturday in leading Tennessee State to a 43-25 victory over Eastern Illinois. Tennessee State (5-0, 1-0 Ohio Valley Conference) got on the board first with a 2-yard run by Donell Brantley with 12:10 to go in the first quarter, and followed that about three minutes later with Murray's 40-yard pass play to Patrick Jenkins. The Tigers never trailed the Panthers (1-5, 1-1 OVC), whose first score came early in the second quarter on Anthony Buich's 7-yard pass to Scott Gilkey. But Tennessee State answered that with a 1-yard touchdown run by Brantley and a 2-point conversion from Murray to Carlo Thomas that put the Tigers up 20-7. Tennessee State led 26-14 at the half. Brantley, who carried 10 times for 34 yards, also scored an 11-yard TD run in the third quarter.
