SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Raghad Bartholomew rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries and Yale overcame four interceptions to beat San Diego 17-6 Saturday night.

Yale's T.J. Hyland threw three interceptions in the opening quarter and was replaced by Peter Lee, who finished 7-of-20 for 117 yards and one touchdown with one interception.

Ben Blake blocked a punt and a field-goal attempt to help Yale (2-1) take a 10-6 halftime lead.

The only score in the second half came after Rich Ward recovered a fumble at San Diego's 19 midway through the third quarter. Jeff Hockenbrock forced the fumble when he jolted the ball loose from quarterback Tom Jackson.

Four plays later, Lee hit Jeff Ditman with a 5-yard scoring pass for a 17-6 edge with 4:19 left in the third quarter.

Jackson, who was sacked five times, went 12-of-21 for 78 yards for the Toreros (2-2).

San Diego converted only after the third interception, recorded by Wade Van Dusen at the Bulldogs' 39. Seven plays later, Jackson scored on a 1-yard sneak three seconds into the second quarter.

Blake's blocked punt set up the opening score, giving Yale the ball at the Toreros' 9. On the next play, Bartholomew ran for a touchdown 2:49 into the game.

The Bulldogs added a 23-yard field goal by Mike Murawczyk 2:35 before halftime. Blake blocked a 42-yard field goal attempt to set up the scoring drive, which covered 29 yards on 12 plays, including two fourth-down conversions.
