BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ Nick Calaycay kicked four field goals in the second half Saturday night and Boise State surprised Utah for the second straight year, beating the Utes 26-20.

Utah (3-1) trailed 14-7 when Andre Dyson intercepted Bart Hendricks' pass and returned it 26 yards for a touchdown with 8:38 left in the third quarter.

The Utes, however, were called for unsportsmanlike conduct for celebrating the TD and Golden Whetman missed the extra-point kick from the 35. As it turned out, that was as close as Utah would get to the Broncos (3-2)

On Utah's next possession, Broncos linebacker Shawn Sandoval recovered a fumble at the Utes 37, setting up a 45-yard field goal by Calaycay with 2:35 remaining in the third quarter.

Ross Farris intercepted a pass by Utah quarterback Darnell Arceneaux at the Ute 24 and Calaycay connected four plays later on a 37-yard field goal that widen the Boise State lead to 20-13.

Calaycay added a 23-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter and a 25-yarder with 4:27 left in the game. Calaycay's last kick was set up by Damon Bouie's pass interception at the Utah 29 with 8:40 remaining.

Utah cut it to 26-20 with 3:34 remaining on a 23-yard pass from backup quarterback T.D. Croshaw to Boo Bendinger. Only 19 seconds remained when Utah next got the ball, at its 27, and the clock ran out before the visitors could threaten.

Boise State took a 14-0 lead by scoring on its first two possessions. Hendricks scored on an 11-yard run and threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to tight end Dave Stachelski.
