JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) _ Florida A&M quarterback JaJuan Seider, making his first collegiate start, powered the Rattlers to an embarrassing 76-17 victory over South Carolina State in the Orange Blossom-Palmetto Classic Saturday.

Seider, a transfer from West Virginia who was starting in place of an injured Quinn Gray, completed 20 of 26 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns in the first half. He completed 12 passes in a row at one point, helping FAMU (2-2, 2-0 in the Mid-Eastern Conference) roll to a 34-9 lead at the break.

Seider left the game with 7:13 remaining in the third quarter and finished with 23-of-32 passing for 286 yards, adding 53 yards rushing on five carries.

By that time, the Rattlers were leading 48-9 thanks also to a defense that limited South Carolina State's Derek O'Neal _ the MEAC's leading rusher with 322 yards going into the game _ to just 84 yards on 22 carries.

The loss was the worst for the Bulldogs (2-1, 0-1) since an 80-0 defeat to FAMU in 1960.

FAMU's Cedric Mitchell caught a pair of touchdown passes, and Kenneth Williams rushed for 74 yards and three scores.
