CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) _ David Reaves completed 16-of-21 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown to lead Appalachian State to a 51-0 victory against The Citadel Saturday.

Neil Cornatzer scored on runs of 8 and 1 yards to give Appalachian State a 14-0 advantage. The Mountaineers pushed the lead to 16-0 when Bulldog running back Kenyon Doyle was tackled in the end zone for a safety with 12:45 remaining in the second quarter.

David Reaves' 28-yard scoring pass to Daryl Skinner gave the Mountaineers (2-1, 1-0 Southern Conference) a 23-0 lead at the break. Skinner led all receivers with six receptions for 111 yards.

The Mountaineers rushed for 282 yards, compared to 61 for the Bulldogs ( 0-3, 0-2).

The Citadel's Chris Eckert completed 6-of-17 passes for 69 yards, while freshman Nate Mahoney paced the ground game with 39 yards on seven attempts.
