MURRAY, Ky. (AP) _ Justin Fuente threw for two touchdowns as Murray State defeated Southeast Missouri 45-18 Saturday night. The Racers (1-2, 1-0 Ohio Valley Conference) scored twice in the first quarter when Shaun Boykins returned a blocked punt 12 yards for a touchdown, and later when Rod Thompson intercepted a pass and raced 82 yards for another TD. Fuente threw touchdown passes of 50 yards to Terrence Tillman and 57 yards to Shadrach Jackson in the second quarter as the Racers opened a 28-0 halftime lead. Southeast Missouri (0-3, 0-1 OVC) was held scoreless for three quarters before rallying for 18 fourth-quarter points. With 12:36 left, Jerl Huling caught a 12-yard scoring pass from Bobby Brune. Less than two minutes later, Mike Gross ran 43 yards for another touchdown. Huling scored again on an 11-yard pass from Gross with 3:46 remaining. Fuente completed 20 of 32 passes for 339 yards. Gross rushed for 104 yards on seven carries for Southeast Missouri.
