ORONO, Maine (AP) _ Brent Naccara scored from the 1 to cap an 84-yard fourth-quarter drive as Maine defeated 19th-ranked Richmond 21-14 on Saturday.

Peter LeBlanc's interception of a Jimmy Miles pass at midfield on the ensuing drive sealed the victory for Maine (1-3, 1-0 Atlantic 10).

Richmond (1-2, 0-1) tied the game at 14-all on Miles' 1-yard touchdown run and a two-point conversion pass from Miles to Muneer Moore at the end of the third quarter. The drive of 12 plays and 54 yards took 6:20 off the clock.

Maine took a 14-6 lead into halftime with two Jake Eaton touchdown passes. Eaton had a 16-yard pass to Dwayne Wilmot and a 19-yard pass to Chad Hayes in the second quarter.

Richmond placekicker Doug Kirchner added to the Spider scoring with field goals of 35 and 27 yards in the first half.
