BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) _ Phil Stambaugh threw for 191 yards and three touchdowns, and Ron Jean ran for 110 yards as Lehigh extended its regular-season winning streak to 14 games with a 56-10 rout of Monmouth, N.J., on Saturday.

The Engineers (2-0) outgained Monmouth in total yardage 554-196, including 351 rushing yards, as Lehigh won its eighth consecutive home game. Stambaugh was 15-of-18 passing to lead the Engineers, throwing two of his TD passes to Kody Fedorcha in the first half.

Lehigh built a 35-3 lead by halftime, with Brett Snyder scoring on rushing plays from two yards out to open the game and a 1-yard plunge with 2:20 left in the first half.

Lehigh held Monmouth (0-2) off the scoreboard until 2:55 left in the game when Chad Smith ran into the end zone from three yards out. Smith finished with 79 rushing yards on 17 carries.
