RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) _ Waylon Chapman threw four touchdown passes, including a 7-yarder to Tyrone Browning that capped an Eastern Kentucky comeback for a 31-24 victory over Indiana State on Saturday night.

Eastern Kentucky (2-1) gave up 24 second-quarter points but shut down Indiana State in the second half, allowing just 60 yards total offense.

The Colonels pulled even at 24 on an 8-yard touchdown pass from Chapman to Alex Bannister on Eastern's first possession of the second half.

Eastern took the lead for good in the fourth quarter on the 7-yard TD pass from Chapman to Browning, capping a nine-play, 52-yard drive.

Indiana State (0-3) took command in the second quarter on touchdown runs of 3 yards by Matt Nelson and 46 yards by John Effinger. Michael Brooks returned a blocked punt 10 yards with 3:33 left in the quarter to give Indiana State a 24-17 halftime lead.

Chapman, who tied an Eastern Kentucky record with his four TD passes, also had scoring strikes of 32 yards to Corey Crume and 20 yards to Anthony Watson.

Crume rushed for 134 yards on 23 carries, and Derick Logan added 104 yards on 20 attempts for Eastern Kentucky.
