We hesitated on releasing a second Power 16 until after this coming week, which is jammed packed with marquee matchups from Hawaii to Kansas City to New York City.
But while three of our four No. 1 seeds have yet to take the court, we didn't want to follow a certain national poll's lead and wait an extra week to update our rankings. Arizona is simply too hot and few more contenders played like pretenders to shake up the Power 16.
Keep in mind, the Power 16 is a "snapshot" of the season today, not a projection of where teams will finish the season in March. But you won't see Eastern Washington or Western Kentucky in this week's rankings based on their impressive wins. One win doesn't get you on the list, but losses like those suffered by Kentucky and Saint Joseph's this past week won't help your standing on the Power poll.
As always, your opinions are welcomed. Click here to voice your approval or disdain for the first Power 16. Keep it clean, state a clear case for your team, and we'll post the best comments later in the week.

After watching others stumble out of the gate, expect Devils to make a three-day statement in the Islands.
Up Next: Tuesday vs. South Carolina
Illini were more than a Stepp ahead of the Zags. If Bradford shoots it like that, Illini may take next step in March.
Up Next: Eastern neighbors on Monday
While no injury is good, Simien's come in right month and hopefully won't linger too far into season.
Admittedly, Bruins moving up because of others' setbacks. But could easily prove in coming week they belong here.
Up Next: Houston-Kansas-Duke if things go as planned.

Nation's Best Point Guard Debate: Forget Williams or Williams? What about Jason or Jason?
Up Next: Nike Elite exhibition (Nov. 25).
American (a.k.a. No. 78 at Cole) was perfect guest to get Terps' 1-2 punch (a.k.a. Baxter and Dixon) on track.
Up Next: Delaware State on Nov. 24.
Shooting still wasn't there in win over Seminoles. But Gators have two weeks to work out the kinks.
Up Next: Tulane (Dec. 2), followed by Spartans (Dec. 5).
Loss to Hilltoppers wasn't as bad as it seems on paper ... who are we kidding? It was in Rupp! By 12! In opener!

Nice, solid opening week. But Alabama and Iowa or Memphis replace Tenn-Martin and Air Force this week.
Up Next: Guardians Final Four (Tue./Wed.)
Juanny showed he can play within offense, which is anything but "Watch Wagner Score".
Up Next: Iowa in Guardians Classic semis Tuesday.
A little struggle down stretch vs. LaTech, but all-in-all a nice tuneup for challenges to come in K.C.
Up Next: Tuesday vs. Wagner & Co. at Guardians
Cowboys won't be far behind KU or Mizzou come Big 12 season if Mo Baker and Vic Williams play like this.

New faces played like old Spartans. But it'll be interesting to see 'em outside Breslin next week.
Up Next: Syracuse in NIT at MSG on Wednesday.
A healthy Curtis Borchardt scored 17 in opener. Yes, that's right, we said HEALTHY Curtis Borchardt.
Up Next: Southern Utah on Tuesday.
Game 1 of Roger at Point: 24 points, nine assists ... five turnovers vs. Wagner. Jury's still out in Bristol.
Up Next: E.Tenn. State on Sunday; Howard (Wed.)
Much like Spartans above, interested to see 'em outside the Dome. But Orange is first Big East team to make Power 16. Congrats.
Up Next: Those Spartans on Wednesday at MSG.
