Tulsa has problems because it has only one big interior player in Brandon Kurtz. If the Golden Hurricane play a team with two big players inside who can score and play at the same time, and have guards who don't turn the ball over against their pressure, they will really struggle against a team like that.

At the same time, however, Tulsa will cause problems because it really gets after teams defensively. The Golden Hurricane players run through passing lanes and are active at getting their hands on the ball because they play so hard. If teams aren't ready to match Tulsa's intensity level, they can get hurt in a hurry. The Golden Hurricane can jump on teams 20-5 if they aren't ready.
They are one of the most balanced teams in the country, with six players averaging double figures in scoring. Eric Coley is probably the closest player to being a star because he does so many things. At 6-foot-5, he can defend a 6-11 player or a 6-foot guard. The nation will enjoy watching him play.
Tulsa has great chemistry and defends hard, but it has problems against teams with size that can wear Tulsa down for 40 minutes. That is Bill Self's biggest concern.
