From Coach's Edge Michael Wright, Luke Walton, and Loren Woods give the Wildcats their own version of the World Wide Web inside. With Richard Jefferson missing most of the season with an injury, the three Ws have done a good job of picking up the slack inside. Wright and Woods give Arizona a 1-2 punch inside that causes problems for most teams, and freshman Walton is working his way into the flow. Woods' back injury is obviously a huge concern for Arizona in the tournament.
(B) With Woods (3) likely out for the tournament with a back injury, Arizona will rotate Justin Wessel and Jefferson into the lineup. The 'Cats could really use Woods' inside presence, but his return is not likely.
(D) The best option is usually Wright (21), perhaps the premier sophomore in the country and a big-time inside threat. |
