EASTON, Pa. (AP) -- Stefan Ciosici, who missed Lafayette's appearance in the 1999 NCAA tournament because of knee surgery, scored 13 points and was chosen the Patriot League tournament MVP as the Leopards won another NCAA automatic berth with an 87-61 victory over Navy on Friday.

The Leopards controlled the game throughout, ending the first half with Tyson Whitfield's 3-pointer with five seconds remaining, giving them a 43-28 lead.

The Leopards and Midshipmen traded baskets early in the second half before a 6-0 run by Lafayette gave it a 21-point advantage. A 3-pointer by Brian Burke with 10:40 left put the Leopards ahead 64-42.

Brian Ehlers had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Lafayette (24-6, 12-1), while freshman Scott Long led Navy (23-6, 11-2) with 13 points, and Sitapha Savane and Jason Jeanpierre had 10 points each.

The Leopards now await the NCAA selection committee's seeding process on Sunday to find out who and where they will play next. Lafayette also won the Patriot League tournament last season and lost to Miami in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Lafayette held Navy to just 33 percent shooting in the game, while the Leopards made 51 percent of their shots.
