NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Dan Langhi scored 32 points Wednesday night to lead Vanderbilt (No. 25 ESPN/USA Today) to a 101-89 victory over Georgia and boost the Commodores' hopes for their first NCAA Tournament bid in three years. Vanderbilt (18-8, 8-7 Southeastern Conference) snapped a two-game losing streak and scored 100 points in an SEC game for the first time since Feb. 17, 1996. The Commodores have one conference game remaining Saturday against South Carolina. The Bulldogs (10-18, 3-12) lost their fourth straight, the third time this season Georgia has had a four-game losing streak. Langhi scored 16 of his points in the first half, shooting 5-for-6, including 2-for-2 from 3-point range. The 6-foot-11 senior forward leads the SEC in scoring with a 22.3 average. Langhi is in line to be the first Commodore since Clyde Lee in 1965 to lead the conference, and only the third overall. Billy Joe Adcock did it in 1948. Two straight steals by Atiba Prater led to five straight Commodore points early in the second half. Then Georgia committed back-to-back turnovers, giving Vanderbilt a 60-50 lead with 15:32 left to play. Another Prater steal helped make it 73-61 with 8:44 left. Shawn Fields led Georgia with 25, shattering his previous season high of 11. Layne added 23. | ALSO SEE Mens College Basketball Scoreboard
