OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Its crowded at the top of this week's ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll. With all the votes in, the Amateur Softball Association announced today that Pac-10 rivals Arizona and UCLA are deadlocked at the No. 1 position with 438 points apiece. The Wildcats picked up 10 of the possible 18 first place votes, while UCLA held on to eight top votes. Minnesota dropped out of the poll after three losses to Top 25 teams, while Northwestern entered the poll following wins over Top 25 opponents Washington and Massachusetts. Oklahoma State jumped three spots to No. 21 after capturing the Speedline Invitational with impressive wins over top 25 foes South Florida and Stanford. Michigan continues to improve its standing in the poll moving up three spots to No. 15. The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll is voted on by NCAA Division I coaches representing 15 different ASA regions and 12 different collegiate conferences. The poll is also voted on by selected softball media members. Records are as of March 9th. First-place votes are in parentheses.
