COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The USA Hockey Foundation on Friday announced the three finalists for the 2003 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award.

The award, presented by the USA Hockey Foundation, recognizes the accomplishments of the most outstanding women's intercollegiate player each season.

The finalists for the 2003 award are Harvard teammates Angela Ruggiero and Jennifer Botterill, and Jenny Potter of the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Botterill won the 2001 award.

The award honors the memory of Patty Kazmaier, who was a four-year varsity letter-winner at Princeton from 1981-82 through 1985-86. She helped lead the Tigers to three straight Ivy League championships.
