Celtics host Shaw's Pro Summer League

ESPN.com

Ten NBA teams, including the host Boston Celtics, will compete in the Shaw's Pro Summer League at the Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium at the University of Massachusetts-Boston.

The league features Richard Jefferson of the Eastern Conference champion New Jersey Nets and lottery picks Jared Jeffries of the Washington Wizards and Marcus Haislip of the Milwaukee Bucks. The games, which began Monday, conclude Sunday, July 21.

"The (summer) leagues are ... a great way for us to evaluate talent and scout potential free agents," Celtics general manager Chris Wallace said. "This will be a wonderful opportunity for New England basketball fans to watch professional basketball up close and personal."
