Users: The cloudy future of C-Webb

ESPN.com

Chris Webber's future has been a hot topic all season. Following the Kings' season-ending loss to the Lakers on Sunday, there was speculation that Webber had played his last game in a Sacramento uniform.

Here are your thoughts on C-Webb's future:

Big city better fit for Webber
Webber is definitely gone, and he'll probably end up in either New York with Spree (Latrell Sprewell) or Houston to team up with the "Franchise." As far as SacTown is concerned it's back to "Expansionism."

Words from biased Rockets fan
I am biased, but I think Webber should get out of Sacramento and head to the beautiful bayou city! C-Webb, teamed with Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley, would be a deadly combination. Houston is a young team, with players on the rise, but have the talent to be contenders in the West...Webb would add the needed muscle in the paint. Come on Mr. Webb! Houston wants you!

Webber will dominate the inside
Webber should sign with Dallas. He is the only piece missing from the puzzle. Right now Dallas is being manhandled inside by stronger teams. With Webber teaming with old Fab 5 buddy Juwan Howard, Dallas becomes a much tougher team.

Showcase your talents in Orlando
I think Chris Webber should go to the Orlando Magic. That would be a good fit for his talents and he will have two other superstars to play with. Sacramento just doesn't have enough to even get out of the West let along contend for a championship. In Orlando, he would have a good chance of getting into the Finals and once you get there anything can happen.

East is the sure way to go
Chris should move on to another team. The Kings do not have the supporting cast to help him get an NBA championship. His best shot would probably be with a team from the East (since LA or SA won't sign him). With the right team in the east he would not have to face any real contenders until the Finals. The East will be the weaker conference for at least 2 more years. Go East young man!

Dallas, Texas

Perfect trio: C-Webb, Francis, Mobley
I think C-Webb should come to Houston and play for the Rockets. We have got a great organization built around guards and with the help of C-Webb we could be even better. Chris, Steve and Cuttino would be a great trio. Our team is very young and athletic. With C-Webb we could be a great team in the West.

N.Y.C is calling your name
The best thing for the Sacramento organization and C-Webb is to move on. They got swept by the Lakers with him, they can't do worse without him. A sign and trade that will give Kings two quality players and Webber a new city to play in. Welcome to New York, Chris!

Michael Pesochinsky

Perfect contribution to Beantown
I think Webber would be best suited to go to the Boston Celtics. Paul Pierce would be the shooting guard, Antoine Walker the small forward, and C-Webb would be the power forward. That is a solid 3 to start many of Championship runs back in Beantown.

Webber neccesary piece to puzzle
I don't think C-Webb turned the Sacramento Kings around by himself, however he was the biggest piece of the puzzle. He has been the best power forward in the league the past 2 seasons (Sorry Timmy and KG) and has made his mark. I think he's a good fit in Orlando or NY. With Webber, Tracy McGrady and a healthy Grant Hill they could knock off the Lakers next year...no one will this year!

You're the star in SacTown
Webber should stay in Sacramento. He will flounder in NY because the players they would have to give up to get him (even if they could), plus the spotlight, and on. Houston's Steve Francis won't give him the ball enough. Stay Chris!!!

Feel the love C-Webb
Being from SacTown I can only say this. If C-Webb truly wants a Championship then this is place for him. All the other teams mentioned didn't win 56 games. I hope he stays for the fans and the community, but if he leaves us I'm sure Geoff Petrie will be prepared for it.

Jason Torrez
Sacramento, Calif.

Don't do a Fab Five repeat!
Chris Webber should stay in Sacramento. The last time C-Webb left a team with a promising future was when he was at Michigan. He had a chance to do something special when he was in Ann Arbor with the Fab Five, but he gave it up to turn pro. He shouldn't make that mistake again and he should finish what he started in Sacramento.

All good intentions in SacTown
He should stay. He's got a great situation in a great city. He can stay out of trouble there and the fans are great. They also have owners who has the team and players interests in mind first.

Perfect replacement for 'The Dream.'
I believe that Webber will leave the Kings for sure. The two most likely places for him to go would be either Houston or San Antonio. He would fit in the best in Houston. This would give them another dominate inside man to replace The Dream. He also might go to San Antonio. This would give him an excellent shot at a ring. With Webber, San Antonio would be unstoppable (if they aren't already.)

More to a team than the night life
Webber should stay. He'll have the money, the fans, and a team that he knows can win a championship. The 'night life and culture' he yearns for won't be important as he gets older. Besides, does he really have to live in Sacramento during the offseason?

C-Webb, welcome to the Big Apple
C-Webb and Knicks are a PERFECT FIT. Webber gets the fast-paced big city, endorsement filled life he is looking for. The Knicks get a low post scorer and an identity they have lacked since Ewing departed. The Garden gets a marque star to help support the the Rangers and Knicks recent failures and Scott Layden and Dave Checketts get to keep there jobs. IT'S A WIN,WIN situation.
