76ers vs. Hornets
Coach's Edge

Eddie Jones and Allen Iverson are the key match-up to watch when the Hornets and Sixers do battle. Jones has a six-inch height advantage on Iverson, and Jones should have little trouble posting and scoring. But Iverson is quick, and that neutralizes some of the height advantage. These are two big-time scorers who both play the off-guard spot, but they play it in two very different ways.

ANIMATE THIS PLAY DIAGRAM WITH SHOCKWAVE
(A) Forward Anthony Mason (14) often initiates the Hornet offense, as he does here. Mason passes to the wing and then cuts to the block off a screen from Eddie Jones (6).
(B) When Mason (14) gets the ball in the post, he first looks for his shot. If nothing's there, he kicks it to Derrick Coleman (44), or more likely -- Jones (6).
