Sources have told ESPN's David Aldridge that USA Basketball has on its "Olympic Wish List" Shaquille O'Neal, Kevin Garnett, and Allen Iverson, who previously feared he wouldn't be selected for the team. Kobe Bryant is also on USA Basketball's wish list but has yet to give any indication of a commitment one way or the other. Ray Allen, Jason Kidd, Tim Duncan, and Tracy McGrady have already committed to play on the U.S. team which next summer will attempt to qualify for the 2004 Olympics and play in Athens. Sources have also told Aldridge that San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, Kansas coach Roy Williams, and Dayton coach Oliver Purnell will be named assistants for the U.S. team which will be headed by Sixers' coach Larry Brown.
