Kittles leaves with six minutes left in third quarter

Associated Press

PORTLAND, Ore. -- New Jersey Nets guard Kerry Kittles left Saturday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers with an apparent left knee injury.

Kittles was injured with about six minutes left in the third quarter. He suddenly clutched his left knee and limped from the Blazers' end of the court toward his bench, where he was helped into the locker room.

The exact nature of the injury was not immediately known.

Kittles, averaging 12.7 points a game for the Nets, had 11 points against the Blazers. He missed the entire 200-01 season recovering from right knee surgery.
