DALLAS -- Mark Cuban says that he wouldn't hire the NBA's director of officiating "to manage a Dairy Queen" after a call Saturday night helped San Antonio beat the Mavericks.

	Mark Cuban is likely to get a call from David Stern.

"Ed Rush might have been a great ref, but I wouldn't hire him to manage a Dairy Queen," Cuban said, according to the Dallas Morning News. "His interest is not in the integrity of the game or improving the officiating. The No. 1 priority of Ed Rush is maintaining power. There's no question in my mind that [NBA commissioner] David Stern is not the most powerful man in the game. It's Ed Rush."

Steve Nash was called for a foul with 5.1 seconds left in Saturday's game. San Antonio's Terry Porter hit a pair of free throws to give the Spurs a 105-103 win.

Cuban, who hasn't been fined by the NBA this season, paid $505,000 a year ago. On Dec. 26, he complained to the league that San Antonio's Tim Duncan travels whenever he goes to his left. He also complained earlier this season about Shaquille O'Neal falling into the lane after shooting free throws.

"They are proving just how naive I was," Cuban told the Morning News. "I truly didn't believe there was a star system. I was dead wrong."
