Associated Press

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Tracy McGrady had his balky back examined in Atlanta on Wednesday, and the Orlando Magic guard will miss at least three games.

McGrady, the league's fifth-leading scorer with a 26-point average, strained his lower back during a loss at Seattle on Sunday night. During the preseason, a similar strain sat him down for four games.

McGrady will remain in Atlanta through the weekend to receive therapy, the Magic announced during Wednesday night's game against Utah.

Orlando plays host to Washington on Friday and at Dallas on Saturday.

McGrady's ailment is another setback for Orlando. Forward Grant Hill had season-ending ankle surgery Wednesday.

Richard Nyberg of the Atlanta Back Clinic is evaluating the 22-year-old McGrady.
