DALLAS -- Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been
punished by the NBA -- again.
Cuban has been suspended by the NBA for two games for rushing
onto the court during a scuffle between players in the waning
minutes of the Mavericks' 102-81 victory over the Cleveland
Cavaliers on Thursday night.

"It's like you've got the prinicpal over you and you've got no
rule book," Cuban said on KTCK Radio.
The dot.com billionaire owner said he was simply trying to
protect his players.
"These are people I care about," Cuban said. "When something
like that happens, your instinct isn't to worry what the rule book
is going to say."
Mavericks forward Gary Trent was knocked to the floor by the
Cavaliers' Wesley Person after Trent's turnaround jumper with 3.3
seconds to go put Dallas at 100 point, which guarantees Reunion
Arena fans coupons for free chalupas.
Both players got into a brief shoving match and Cuban ran onto the
court, then quickly backed off when the players were separated.
Cuban will miss the game Saturday against the Washington Wizards
and Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Both games will be
played in Dallas.
It's the sixth time this season that NBA commissioner David
Stern has disciplined Cuban.
So far, the NBA has fined Cuban $405,000. His most recent fine
came on Jan. 11, when he was fined $100,000 for sitting on the
baseline during Dallas' game in Minneapolis.
Also punished on Friday was Cavaliers forward Robert Traylor,
who was suspended for one game and fined $5,000 for throwing a
punch at Mavericks rookie guard Courtney Alexander. Send this story to a friend
