Sixers buy 37th overall pick from Clips
Associated Press
LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Clippers, scheduled to pick
second in the NBA draft, traded their only other selection -- No. 8
in the second round -- to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.
The Clippers, expected to take a high school star with the No. 2
selection in Wednesday's draft, received an undisclosed amount of
cash from the 76ers in the deal for the second-round pick.
The Clippers have worked out prep stars Kwame Brown of Glynn
Academy in Georgia, Eddy Curry of Chicago and Tyson Chandler of
Dominguez High in Compton, Calif.
Last year, the Clippers took Darius Miles of East St. Louis
(Ill.) High with the No. 3 pick. Miles averaged 9.4 points and 5.9
rebounds and was named to the NBA All-Rookie team. Send this story to a friend | Most sent stories
