PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- After chasing Allen Iverson all over the court for 53 minutes, Darrell Armstrong had enough energy left to do his best Iverson impersonation.

Armstrong scored 13 of his career-high 34 points in the second overtime as the Orlando Magic overcame 47 points by Iverson to beat the Philadelphia 76ers 123-117 Friday night.
"I let him get off to a good start, but I played him better in the second half, made him take some tough shots," said Armstrong, who added 13 assists. "He's quick, I'm quick, so it was quickness against quickness. The only difference was he knew where he was
going."
Tracy McGrady had 25 points -- all in regulation -- and Mike Miller added 24 points, including 16 in the third quarter, as Orlando won its third straight.
Theo Ratliff had 21 points and 13 rebounds and Tyrone Hill added
15 points and 10 rebounds for Philadelphia, which had won 17 of its last 20 games.
"We just couldn't get it done no matter how hard we tried," Iverson said. "I'm confused about this one, but we have to move on."
Armstrong gave Orlando a 115-110 lead on a jumper with 1:50 left
in the second overtime as the Sixers missed their first four shots.
After Ratliff cut it to 115-113 with a free throw, Armstrong hit
a 3-pointer to put it away.
The Sixers had an opportunity to win it in the first overtime, but Iverson missed a jumper at the buzzer.
"Darrell was awesome," Magic coach Doc Rivers said. "What was
most important was his play on Iverson. Darrell is a gambler. I
begged him not to do it tonight because if you gamble against
Iverson, you're going to lose."
Iverson gave the Sixers a 102-100 lead with 9.6 seconds left in
regulation on a driving layup and foul shot. But Michael Doleac
sent it into overtime on a long jumper with 1.8 seconds left.
Philadelphia, coming off a three-game road trip that included victories over Indiana and New York, slipped to 35-12.
"We had our chances," Sixers coach Larry Brown said. "We made a phenomenal comeback and had our chances to win in regulation and in the first overtime. We just had nothing left."
Iverson shot just 15-of-35, including 1-for-5 in overtime.
Orlando took its first lead since the opening minutes, 63-62, as
McGrady capped a 16-5 run with a turnaround jumper and free throw
to complete a three-point play with 5:50 left in the third.
Miller's fourth 3-pointer of the quarter gave Orlando an 85-74
at the end of the third.
"I think Mike was a little in awe the first half," Rivers said. "He finally made that 3-pointer in the third quarter and then the floodgates opened."
The Sixers took their biggest lead of the game, 47-32, on an
alley-oop slam by Ratliff that capped a 14-3 run midway through the
second quarter.
Game notes
Sixers forward Jumaine Jones left the game after getting
poked in the right eye by Doleac while stealing a pass during the
second quarter. Jones appeared to be heading in for an uncontested
basket before stopping suddenly and walking to the bench. ...
Orlando had lost four straight to the Sixers. ... The Magic had 40
points in the third quarter, the most the Sixers allowed in any
quarter this season. ... Iverson was fined $5,000 by the NBA for
shouting a derogatory remark about gays toward taunting fans in
Sunday's victory at Indiana. ... The Sixers are 13-13, including
the playoffs, when Iverson scores 40 or more points, including 6-3
this season.
