VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Tony Delk had 17 points and Rodney Rogers added 15 as the Phoenix Suns beat the Vancouver Grizzlies 88-75 in a preseason game Tuesday night.

The Suns reserves proved the difference, as Shawn Marion led Phoenix starters with 15 points.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 29 points and 11 rebounds for Vancouver (1-6), losers of five straight. Mike Bibby added 12 points before fouling out, and Othella Harrington also scored 12.

Marion, selected ninth overall in the 1999 NBA draft, shot 5-for-6 as the Suns (4-3) took a 21-17 lead after the first period.

Vancouver closed the second quarter with a 13-3 run to cut the deficit to 44-38 at halftime.

Stromile Swift, the second overall pick this year, missed his first seven shots for Vancouver, before finishing with three points on 1-for-9 shooting.

The Grizzlies played without shooting guard Michael Dickerson (sprained right ankle), swingman Doug West (shoulder sprain), center Ike Austin and point guard Brent Price (sore knees).

Tom Gugliotta and Penny Hardaway (knee surgeries), Rex Chapman (wrist) and Corie Blount (knee) sat out for Phoenix.
