INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Corey Maggette, Keyon Dooling and Darius Miles scored 15 points apiece and two teammates also finished in double figures as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Indiana Pacers 96-83 Friday night.

Earl Boykins had 12 of his 14 points in the second quarter when the Clippers shot 79 percent. The 5-foot-5 guard used his quickness to disrupt Indiana on both ends of the court as the Clippers (4-2) built a 57-41 halftime lead.

A 17-footer by Boykins tied the game at 28 and his 20-footer tied the game for the final time at 30. Dooling had nine of his points in the second period, including a 3-pointer that gave the Clippers their first double-digit lead at 47-35 with 2:45 remaining in the first half. Dooling's basket, steal and two free throws completed a six-point run to end the period.

The Pacers (3-2) had eight turnovers in each of the first two quarters, with the turnovers leading to 16 points by the Clippers.

Indiana managed to cut the deficit to 90-83 on a 3-pointer by Al Harrington with 1:46 to play. But three free throws by Etdrick Bohannon, a former Pacers player, helped the Clippers hang on.

Jonathan Bender led Indiana with 16 points. Austin Croshere had 10 and Jermaine O'Neal had 10 points and 10 rebounds, his third double-double of the preseason.

Sean Rooks contributed 11 points for Los Angeles, which shot 51.5 percent from the field while holding Indiana to 36.5 percent.

Indiana finished with 22 turnovers, leading to 22 points by the Clippers.
