DALLAS (AP) _ Dirk Nowitzki and Hubert Davis each scored 19 points as the Dallas Mavericks beat the San Antonio Spurs 96-91 in an exhibition game Sunday night.

Mavericks coach Don Nelson was ejected after getting two technicals in the second quarter. At the time, the Mavericks had not attempted a free throw while the Spurs had shot 17.

Nowitzki also had seven rebounds, and Christian Laettner added 14 points for the Mavericks.

Samaki Walker led San Antonio with 15 points, Derek Anderson had 14, and Tim Duncan had 12 points and 18 rebounds.

San Antonio center David Robinson missed the game because of a sore right foot.
