KANATA, Ontario (AP) _ Vince Carter scored 31 points, including 19 in the third quarter, as the Toronto Raptors beat the Vancouver Grizzlies 97-92 in an exhibition game Thursday night.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored 18 points and Mike Bibby added 21 for the Grizzlies in the Naismith Cup game between Canada's two NBA clubs. Stuart Naismith, grandson of James Naismith, the Canadian who invented the game, helped with the ceremonial tipoff.

Antonio Davis added 18 points for the Raptors.
