MIAMI (AP) -- Ray Allen provided a fitting end to a game that had
20 lead changes and 12 ties.
Allen hit an 18-foot running jumper with 1.7 seconds to play to
give Milwaukee a 96-95 victory over Miami on Thursday night.

"We were looking to get penetration or get fouled," said
Allen, who shot over Miami's P.J. Brown. "P.J. had a hand in my
face. Thankfully, I got it off."
Allen led the Bucks with 28 points.
"He hit a great shot," Milwaukee coach George Karl said.
"That's what great players do."
Sam Cassell added 20 points and seven assists for the Bucks, who
were 19-for-20 from the line. Vinny Del Negro had 15 points,
including seven in the fourth quarter.
Voshon Lenard had a season-high 29 points for the Heat, who
dropped their third straight game. Lenard was 7-for-10 from 3-point
range. Alonzo Mourning had 21 points, a season-high 18 rebounds,
and blocked four shots.
"That's the shot you want him to be taking, fading away from
the basket with a 6-foot-11 guy's hand in his face," Mourning said
of the final basket. "Ray Allen just made a tough shot. He made a
real tough shot."
Heat coach Pat Riley agreed.
"We got the match up we wanted. P.J. had a hand up and made
Allen take a tough shot," Riley said.
After Lenard's 3-pointer put Miami up 82-79, Del Negro scored
five and Cassell four during an 11-1 run that gave Milwaukee a
90-83 lead with 4:07 remaining.
A pair of 3-pointers by Lenard sparked a 10-4 Miami rally that
closed it to 94-93 with 1:04 left.
After Allen missed a jumper and Mourning got the rebound, Dan
Majerle's layup gave the Heat a 95-94 lead with 17.1 seconds
remaining.
After a non-shooting foul with seven seconds left, Del Negro
inbounded the ball to Allen, who raced to the left corner and hit
the game-winner over Brown.
There were 15 lead changes in the first half, which ended with
Miami up 49-47. Lenard scored 12 second-quarter points, accounting
for all but one of the Heat's field goals in the period.
Neither team led by more than six until a nine-point run that
featured five points by Jamal Mashburn put Miami in front 75-68
with 23.9 seconds to play in the third quarter.
Milwaukee answered with the next seven points, five by Allen, to
tie it at 75 a minute into the fourth.
Game notes
Miami had hoped that starting point guard Tim Hardaway
would be able to return to action for the contest, the first after
a six-game west coast trip. Hardaway was not ready, however, and
missed his 11th straight game because of a jammed right knee. ...
Allen went 3-for-3 from the line to run his streak to 32 straight.
... Miami has hit at least one 3-pointer in an NBA-record 447
straight games. ... Milwaukee's Glenn Robinson, who had over 20 points in his five previous games, scored 12.
