SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) _ Vin Baker scored 31 points and Gary Payton added 17 points and 12 assists as the Seattle SuperSonics beat the Sacramento Kings 133-128 in an exhibition game Tuesday night.

It was highest point total in the preseason for Seattle, which connected on 58 percent of its shots against a lackluster Kings defense.

Ruben Patterson scored 18 for Seattle and Rashard Lewis had 15.

Reserve Predrag Stojakovic scored 19 points for Sacramento. Chris Webber made his first five shots and finished with 17 points and six rebounds for the Kings. Scot Pollard and Darrick Martin each had 14 points.

Strong outside shooting helped the Sonics break the game open early in the third quarter. Patterson scored 10 points and the Sonics made 15 of 25 shots in the period to take a 107-87 lead.
