ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ Michael Doleac had 21 points and Darrell Armstrong added 19 as the Orlando Magic defeated the Houston Rockets, 114-105 Sunday night to remain undefeated in the preseason.

Houston rookie Steve Francis led all scorers with 27 points on 8-for-11 shooting. He also had seven assists and five rebounds.

Each team showed signs of preseason sluggishness with Orlando committing 34 fouls and Houston 24. The Rockets took better advantage at the line, going 32-for-51 (63 percent). Orlando went 18-for-31 (58 percent).

Orlando's Chris Gatling came off the bench to add 16 points and eight rebounds. Rookie Corey Maggette had 12 points, but only made 3 of 10 field goals.

Houston played without Charles Barkley, who sat out with a strained elbow. Hakeem Olajuwon had eight points and eight rebounds in 28 minutes.

Houston took its first lead of the game, 53-52, when Francis hit a 3-pointer with 9:46 remaining in the third quarter. But Orlando built its lead back with a 33-21 spurt, to lead 85-74 after three quarters.

Orlando led 29-14 after the first quarter, but Houston opened the second with a 21-10 run to cut it to 39-35 with 5:42 remaining.

The Rockets tied it 46-46 before Armstrong's 3-pointer gave Orlando a 49-46 halftime lead.
