OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) _ Chris Mills and John Starks each scored 19 points as the Golden State Warriors beat the Vancouver Grizzlies 96-84 Friday night.

Starks and Mills combined for 28 points in the second half with Mills scoring 13 of his points in the third quarter as the Warriors (2-1) built their lead on a 16-4 run.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim led the Grizzlies with 16 points and Mike Bibby added 15 as Vancouver lost its second straight of the exhibition season.

Golden State's Adonal Foyle scored 15 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Mookie Blaylock added 13 assists, also a game high.

Antawan Jamison of the Warriors scored 15 points in the first half then was excused to attend his uncle's funeral in Louisiana. He is expected to return in time for Sunday's practice.

Vancouver closed within 77-73 with 10:22 remaining in the fourth but then Foyle tipped in a shot and the Grizzlies never got any closer.

The Grizzlies' Grant Long suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter and was taken after the game to Summit Medical Center in Oakland for CAT scan and overnight observation.

Donyell Marshall of Golden State left the game at 4:22 in the first period with tendinitis of the left knee.

The Warriors lead 48-45 at the half.
