OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Jason Caffey is having fun again, and he says it's because of his new teammates.

Caffey scored 25 points and matched his career high with 16 rebounds Sunday night to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 112-103 victory over the Washington Wizards.

He has been playing to a higher level since Billy Owens and Larry Hughes joined the team in a three-team trade last Wednesday.

"We click together," Caffey said. "It seems like every time I move off a screen, I get two points. It's fun now, that's all I can say. Before, it wasn't fun. It felt too much like work, and that's when I don't like my job. These guys have helped my game a lot. Billy is a great passer and Larry gets his points and gives up the ball."

Owens had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Hughes added 16 points and a team-high seven assists.

"It feels good to me to be out there with these guys," Hughes said. "I try to let the game come to me. I let my teammates have the ball. I feed off them. When I see a guy smiling on the court, that's all I need to keep me going."

Jahidi White scored a career-high 23 points and had 14 rebounds for the Wizards, who lost their seventh in a row. Washington dropped its 15th consecutive road game, and hasn't won away from the MCI Center since beating Detroit 97-83 on Dec. 21.

"I'm not concerned with how I did," White said. "It doesn't matter. We didn't come out with a win."

White scored 12 in the third quarter as the Wizards tried to come back from a 16-point deficit. Rod Strickland scored late in the period to bring Washington within eight, but Mookie Blaylock responded with a basket at the buzzer for the Warriors.

"When you bring in two guys like Larry and Billy who have passing skills, you're game moves better," Warriors coach Garry St. Jean said. "They bring an added dimension to the team."

The Wizards led by as many as seven early, but Golden State went on a 15-2 run to close out the first quarter and take a 29-23 lead. Washington was held scoreless the final 3:14 of the period.

"They made a run and we never responded," Washington coach Darrell Walker said. "We just didn't play well. We didn't deserve to win."

Mitch Richmond, the Wizards' leading scorer, was ejected late in the first half after being assessed two technical fouls by referee Bennie Adams.

"It was tough not having him out there, but we didn't play the game like we were capable," said Walker.

Blaylock made two of the three free throws to help the Warriors take a 61-47 halftime lead.

The Warriors are the only team in the NBA who have yet to lose when leading after the third quarter (11-0). ... Warriors forward Antawn Jamison is scheduled for arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Tuesday. ... Richmond made his only 3-point attempt of the game to snap an 0-for-11 streak from beyond the arc. He needs two more 3-pointers to tie Chuck Person for fourth place on the all-time list. ... Washington is 3-26 when its opponent scores 100 points or more. ... Strickland recorded his 16th double-double with 14 points and 11 assists. ... Caffey is shooting 66 percent in his last eight games.
