Fehr address Brewers for three hours before game

Associated Press

HOUSTON -- Union leader Donald Fehr met for three hours with Milwaukee Brewers players Wednesday prior to a game with the Houston Astros to brief them on the latest on labor issues.

"I think it's solvable,'' Fehr told Houston television station KRIV. "I think all of our negotiations have been solvable going back. We eventually reached a deal in all of them after all.''

He's not making predictions, however.

"All I can say is that if we have workman-like attitudes and if the clubs are as committed as we are in trying to find a way to make a deal, hopefully we'll be able to do it.''

Fehr spoke with the Brewers at their hotel prior to the game. He said he planned to talk with the Astros on an upcoming trip to New York.
