PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Damian Miller won't worry about rest until
the offseason.
Miller had a career-high four hits and drove in two runs, and
Armando Reynoso pitched 7 2-3 strong innings as the Diamondbacks
beat Philadelphia 5-1 Wednesday to complete a three-game sweep.

"It's all right," Miller said about catching a day game after
a night game. "I have all of November, December and January to
rest."
Miller was 7-for-13 in the series as Arizona won its fourth
straight to remain one game behind first-place San Francisco in the
NL West.
"For him to catch a day game after a night game this time of
year is real admirable," Arizona manager Buck Showalter said.
"The job he did behind the plate is what I take out of it. He
makes 150 decisions a game back there. It means more than four
at-bats."
Reynoso (10-7) allowed one run and six hits. He struck out
seven, walked one and retired 16 consecutive batters at one point.
Byung-Hyun Kim struck out Scott Rolen to end a first-and-third,
two-out threat in the eighth. Matt Mantei pitched a scoreless
ninth, despite loading the bases.
Mantei injured his rib cage during the inning, but remained in
the game.
"It was nothing too extreme where I couldn't pitch," said
Mantei, who plans to see a doctor when the team returns to Arizona.
The Diamondbacks finished the season 8-1 against the Phillies
and are 16-2 against them over the last two years.
"They really handed it to us," Phillies manager Terry Francona
said. "Some games they barely beat us, and some games they knocked
us around."
The Diamondbacks broke open a 2-1 game with three, two-out runs
in the sixth, capped by Miller's two-run double.
Bruce Chen (6-2) nearly escaped a first-and-third, no-out jam by
getting Matt Williams and Steve Finley to pop out. But Greg
Colbrunn delivered a RBI double to make it 3-1, and Miller followed
with a shot to deep right-center.
Chen, making his seventh start for Philadelphia since coming
over from Atlanta in a trade for Andy Ashby, allowed five runs and
eight hits in seven innings.
"Anything he does is going to be magnified because we weren't
scoring," Francona said.
The Phillies have lost four straight and are 6-15 since trading
ace right hander Curt Schilling to the Diamondbacks on July 26.
Schilling didn't pitch against his former teammates.
Arizona scored a run without a hit in the first. Tony Womack led
off with a walk, stole second, moved to third on a bunt by Jay Bell
and scored on a sacrifice fly by Luis Gonzalez.
Bell gave the Diamondbacks a 2-0 lead in the third with his 13th
homer of the season.
Philadelphia cut it to 2-1 on a RBI double by Bobby Abreu in the
third. But Reynoso struck out Rolen and got Mike Lieberthal to pop
out with runners on second and third.
The Phillies also wasted an opportunity in the first when right
fielder Danny Bautista easily nailed Abreu at the plate on a
one-out single by Rolen.
"I had good command," Reynoso said. "My fastball, changeup,
everything was working."
Game notes
Reynoso tied a season high with seven strikeouts. ... The
Diamondbacks return home after a 5-1 road trip through
Pennsylvania. ... Womack had a 12-game hitting streak snapped. ...
Lieberthal returned after a three-game absence due to back spasms.
... Rolen extended his hitting streak to eight despite three
strikeouts. He's 16-for-34 (.471) in that span. ... Gonzalez has a
10-game hitting streak. He's 15-for-37 (.405) over that stretch.
... Finley went 0-for-12 in the series.
