RECAP | BOX SCORE | GAME LOG

TORONTO (AP) _ The Chicago White Sox got only one hit to beat the Toronto 2-1 on Sunday, taking advantage of five Blue Jays' errors.

Mark Johnson singled with two outs in the third inning for Chicago's only hit as the White Sox won for the sixth time in seven games. They have won the first three games of their four-game series in Toronto.

The Blue Jays, who have lost four straight games, made two errors in the seventh inning, leading to two unearned runs.

After Frank Castillo (2-3) walked Frank Thomas to open the seventh, Magglio Ordonez reached on second baseman Homer Bush's error. Thomas advanced to third on the play, and scored on Batista's error at third base.

Chris Singleton bunted Ordonez to third, and Carlos Lee hit a sacrifice fly to give Chicago a 2-0 lead.

Cal Eldred (4-2) allowed three hits in 6 2-3 scoreless innings. He struck out seven and walked one, but had to sweat through the ninth inning when the Blue Jays nearly rallied for the win.

Keith Foulke, who had not allowed a run in his previous 18 innings, gave up a solo homer to Carlos Delgado with two outs and a double to Brad Fullmer. Foulke then struck out Tony Batista to earn his seventh save.

Eldred, who allowed just three hits in six scoreless innings in his previous start, has appeared to recover from arm problems that slowed him earlier in his career. After going 6-16 the previous two years in Milwaukee, Eldred already has four wins this season.

Castillo allowed one hit in seven innings. He struck out six and walked one.

Notes: Eldred was acquired from Milwaukee on Jan. 12 in exchange for Jaime Navarro, who was released by the Brewers on April 29 after going 0-5. ... Eldred is making $5.4 million this season. Navarro is making $5 million. ... The White Sox have won seven straight games at SkyDome. ... Attendance was 18,264.
