ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Scott Spiezio was pretty sure his last swing of the game ended it.

"I was hoping it would get over the wall," he said. "If it'd have hit the wall, I would've been thrown out at first."

Spiezio followed Troy Glaus' game-tying ninth-inning homer with one of his own Sunday as the Anaheim Angels rallied past the Texas Rangers 7-6.

	Mo Vaughn had a pair of two-run homers for the Angels, but Scott Spiezio's walk-off shot was more talked about.

"That's the first time I've done that in the majors, a walkoff home run," Spiezio said. "It's a great feeling. I got pummeled at home plate, and I'll have to get a neck readjustment. But I'd love to do that every night."

Mo Vaughn hit a pair of two-run homers for Anaheim, and Garret Anderson also connected.

After starter Jason Dickson was chased with one out in the second, four relievers combined to hold Texas to two hits in the final 7 2/3 innings.

Al Levine (3 2/3 innings), Eric Weaver and Mark Petkovsek (one inning each) pitched hitless ball.

Shigetoshi Hasegawa (2-0) allowed a pair of hits in two innings, including a ninth-inning homer by Ivan Rodriguez that put Texas ahead 6-5. Rodriguez's first-pitch drive made him 3-for-3 with two home runs as a pinch-hitter this season.

Rangers manager Johnny Oates left in Francisco Cordero (1-1), who had thrown 1 1/3 innings, choosing to rest John Wetteland, who got saves Friday and Saturday.

Glaus tied the game with his 10th homer of the season, and Spiezio followed with a lined shot barely over the right-field wall for his fifth, ending an 0-for-11 slide.

"I'm just trying to even out my mail," Oates joked. "It's been running overwhelmingly against bringing John in, and I want to even it out with people ripping me for not bringing him in."

Cordero had not allowed a home run this season in 19 1/3 innings coming in.

Vaughn's third multihomer game this season, the 27th of his career, raised his season totals to 13 homers and 35 RBI.

Texas batted around in the first inning against Dickson, making his first start since straining a hip flexor April 28, and took a 4-0 lead. Mike Lamb singled for two runs and Bill Haselman added an RBI single.

After Vaughn's first homer cut the Rangers' lead in half in the bottom half, Rafael Palmeiro's RBI double in the Texas second made it 5-2.

Darin Erstad doubled and Vaughn homered again in the third. Anderson's leadoff homer in the fourth tied it at 5.

Rangers starter Esteban Loaiza retiring his next 11 batters. Loaiza allowed five runs and six hits in 6 2/3 innings.
