BOSTON (AP) -- Detroit broke its 25-inning scoreless streak against Boston, but the Red Sox scored in six of the first seven innings and beat the Tigers 10-6 on Monday night. Mike Stanley's third homer in three games, a two-run shot in the first, and Carl Everett's eighth homer of the season gave Boston a 3-0 lead after two innings. Brian Daubach also homered. Detroit tied the game in the third, ending its drought against the Red Sox that began with five scoreless innings last season, continued with 7-0 and 10-0 losses on April 18 and 19 and grew in the first two innings Monday. But the Tigers, who lost for the 12th time in 14 games, showed why they have baseball's worst record as poor pitching and fielding allowed the Red Sox to take control against C.J. Nitkowski (1-5) with a run each in the third and fourth. Meanwhile, Jeff Fassero (3-1) was pitching as he has all season -- just well enough to win. He allowed four runs and left with a 5-4 lead after five innings. In his five starts, he's pitched five innings four times and 5 1/3 innings once. Detroit scored three runs against him in the third on a double by Shane Halter, a run-scoring single by Deivi Cruz, an RBI double by Gregg Jefferies and an error by third baseman Wilton Veras. The Red Sox took the lead for good in the fourth when Darren Lewis, who had doubled, scored on Nomar Garciaparra's double-play grounder. They went ahead 5-3 in the fourth when Everett reached on an error by third baseman Halter and went to third when Nitkowski's attempted pickoff throw went wild. Jason Varitek doubled Everett home. Halter's first homer and a two-out single by Brad Ausmus brought Boston manager Jimy Williams to the mound in the fifth. But he stuck with Fassero, who retired Juan Encarnacion on a fly ball to finish the fifth and qualify for the win. Rich Garces and Tim Wakefield followed with two innings each. Daubach's fifth homer, a three-run shot as a pinch-hitter, gave the Red Sox an 8-4 lead against Dave Borkowski in the sixth. They added two runs in the seventh on consecutive doubles by Nomar Garciaparra, Stanley and Troy O'Leary. Notes: Daubach's pinch-hit homer was Boston's first since Butch Huskey connected against Mike Stanton of the New York Yankees last Sept. 11. The last pinch-hit homer at Fenway Park was against Detroit last May 31 by Varitek off Matt Anderson. ... Detroit manager Phil Garner and 3B Dean Palmer served the fourth game of their eight-game suspensions for their role in a brawl April 22 with the Chicago White Sox. Pitcher Doug Brocail completed his four-game suspension. ... Botswana president Festus Mogae and his wife Barbara attended the game. ... Encarnacion extended his hitting streak to 13 games, matching his career high, with an infield single in the eighth. ...
