MONTREAL (AP) -- Vladimir Guerrero prefers to let his bat do his talking, and it's been speaking volumes lately.

Guerrero hit a pair of two-run home runs and drove in five runs as the Montreal Expos handed the Milwaukee Brewers their fifth straight loss with a 5-1 victory Friday night.

	Vladimir Guerrero leads the NL with 23 RBI and is hitting .441.

Guerrero, who also had a run-scoring single, went 3-for-4 to raise his average to .441. Guerrero homered off Jimmy Haynes (2-1) in the sixth and Curtis Leskanic in the eighth to give him an NL-leading 23 RBI in 16 games.

"I don't surprise myself," Guerrero said through a translator. "I just want to do my job."

Dustin Hermanson (2-1) allowed one run and six hits in eight innings. He has allowed one run in 17 innings in his last two starts - pitching a shutout against Philadelphia -- to lower his ERA from 6.55 to 2.89.

Ugueth Urbina came on with runners at first and third and one out in the ninth and got two outs for his fourth save. Urbina moved past John Wetteland with 106 career saves for the Expos, the third most in team history.

"It feels good," Urbina said. "I never think about things like that, though. I just try to save as many games as I can."

Guerrero got his 300th career RBI in the fourth inning when he singled in Rondell White, who had doubled off Haynes to lead off the inning.

Milwaukee's Geoff Jenkins hit his fifth homer of the season off Hermanson with two outs in the sixth to tie it at 1.

Jose Vidro walked with one out in the bottom half and advanced to second on White's groundout. With first base open, the Brewers elected to pitch to Guerrero, who launched a 401-foot shot deep into the left-field stands for his sixth homer of the season.

"He's seeing the ball really well right now, and he's catching mistakes," Haynes said. "If you make mistakes or leave the ball out over the plate, he's hitting it well. You have to make good pitches to him, and we didn't do that a couple of times today."

Brewers manager Davey Lopes went against his instincts in pitching to Guerrero because Montreal's Lee Stevens offered solid protection batting behind Guerrero.

"I had a gut feeling to do it, but I didn't go by my gut feeling because of the fact that Stevens is hitting .500 (7-for-14) off Haynes, and those were not two easier outs the previous two at-bats he had," Lopes said.

Guerrero connected off Leskanic in the eighth for his sixth career two-homer game and 99th career homer. Guerrero also homered twice against Los Angeles in Montreal's season opener April 3.

The homer nearly cost Urbina a save. Steve Kline allowed two hits to the first three batters he faced in the ninth, and Urbina came on to get the last two outs for the save.

"That way, (Guerrero) can cost me any save he wants to," Urbina said. "He's the best. I'm happy to play with him and have him as a friend. He's unbelievable."

Haynes, who was acquired from Oakland last Dec. 13, allowed three runs and five hits in six innings.

Neither SS Mark Loretta nor OF James Mouton started for the Brewers, though both were available off the bench. Loretta left Thursday night's 5-4 loss in New York with a mild concussion in the sixth inning after he collided with Mouton while fielding a pop foul. ... The Brewers last lost five straight last Aug. 20-24. ... With three off-days scheduled through May 4, the Expos plan to go with a four-man rotation of Hermanson, Hideki Irabu, Javier Vazquez and Carl Pavano. Jeremy Powell, who started but did not figure in the decision in Thursday night's 10-6 loss to Chicago, was optioned to Triple-A Ottawa following the game. INF Andy Tracy, who will be used as a left-handed bat off the bench, was recalled. ... Mel Rojas had 109 saves for Montreal and Jeff Reardon's 152 saves.
