JUPITER, Fla. (AP) _ Javier Vazquez pitched five scoreless innings for the second straight outing Tuesday and the Montreal Expos beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-3.

In his fourth start of the spring, Vazquez struck out five and gave up one hit, a wind-blown single by Bobby Abreu. He walked none.

Last Thursday, Vazquez blanked the St. Louis Cardinals on three hits while striking out five.

``He had outstanding stuff today,'' Expos manager Felipe Alou said. ``Everything he threw was good, his slider, his curve and his changeup.''

Expos reliever Guillermo Mota allowed two runs in the seventh and Graeme Lloyd gave up one in the eighth.

Closer Ugueth Urbina gave up a double and a walk in the ninth. He earned the save after he got out of the inning when he tagged out Pat Burrell, who wandered off first base in what appeared to be an indecisive attempt to steal with Alex Arias at third.

``That was a fitting way to end the game the way we played today,'' manager Terry Francona said of the Phillies, who made five errors and left eight runners on base.

Mike Mordecai homered for the Expos.
