MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) _ Cliff Floyd and Derek Lee hit three-run homers as the Florida Marlins beat Los Angeles 7-6 Monday, dropping the Dodgers to a major league-worst 4-15 this spring.

Lee, who is fighting what appears to be a losing battle with Kevin Millar for the job at first base, homered in the fourth off loser Eric Gagne, who was pounded for seven runs and seven hits in four innings. Lee went 2-for-4 with four RBIs.

``It's going to be a very hard decision about the first-base job,'' Marlins manager John Boles said. ``I'll be giving that a lot of thought.''

Millar leads the Marlins with four home runs and his batting average has been around .400 all spring.

Floyd homered off Gagne in the third.

``We seem to be waking up at the plate,'' Boles said. ``I'm very, very happy with what I saw out there today from our bats.''

Winner Ryan Dempster allowed three runs and seven hits in four innings, giving up Shawn Green's third homer of the spring in the third inning.

Ricky Bones allowed two hits in three innings of one-run relief.

``Ricky looked good out there today,'' Boles said. ``He had great command of his pitches. Ryan didn't. He didn't seem to have his usual stuff.''

Notes: In an effort to control the recent outbreak of a mumps-like virus in the Marlins' training camp, 100 members of the organization, including players, coaches and staff, have been inoculated. Ninety-three physicals have been performed on Marlins staff as well. ... Pitcher A.J. Burnett is have surgery Tuesday on his right thumb. He will not be allowed to grip a baseball for 10 weeks.
